Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals living with various stages and forms of dementia, and I’ve seen firsthand the emotional and practical challenges this journey brings — not only for those diagnosed but also for their families and friends .

I have a true passion for understanding how dementia affects each person uniquely. My approach is grounded in relational caring, which emphasizes meaningful connections, mutual respect, and the importance of relationships in every aspect of care. I believe that even in the face of memory loss, there are still moments of joy, purpose, and connection to be found — and nurtured.

Whether you’re just beginning to notice changes or are deep into caregiving, I offer practical, compassionate strategies to support you and your loved one. In addition to therapeutic support, I also provide cognitive assessments using evidence-based tools such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Mini-Mental Status Examination (MMSE), Depression Rating Scale, and Clock Drawing Interpretation. These tools help identify changes in cognition, mood, and functioning — offering valuable insight to guide your next steps.

As a Certified Coach in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA), Living the Dementia Journey (LDJ), and the PIECES framework, I bring flexible, person-centered approaches that truly make a difference. My goal is to educate you and empower you with strategies that are not only effective, but also grounded in empathy, dignity, and respect.

Let’s work together to create moments of understanding, comfort, and connection — even in the most uncertain times.

Welcome I’m a Certified Recreation Therapist with over 33 years of experience working with older adults in Long-Term Care, Retirement, and Hospital settings.
